The porcelain surface eliminates the need to season cast iron creating a smooth, hard surface that is easy to clean while maintaining superior heat distribution and heat retention. Better heat retention will actually reduce the amount of energy needed for cooking so it saves money.
Although dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water is recommended to preserve the cookware's original appearance.
